WEEK 2 – REMOTE TASK
Introduction
As a social work student, it is important to know what emergency and community support
services are available in your local area. This task is designed to help you become familiar
with different types of services and understand where support can be accessed when
individuals or families need help.
You will research and list emergency and support services within your suburb and nearby
areas. These services may support people experiencing domestic and family violence
(DFV), mental health concerns, disability-related needs, and child and family issues.
This task will help you build confidence in recognising different support services and
understanding what types of help are available in the community.
