Assessment One: Poster Presentation

Create an electronic poster to be displayed in the antenatal clinic.  Please ensure that the content of your poster is relevant to this audience.

The poster needs to include (but is not restricted to) the following information:

• Introduction of the topic, including definitions of key terms
• Up-to-date statistics (for Australia, but you may want to have some international examples if this is relevant or different); include charts, tables or figures.
• Factual evidence-based information relevant to that of a health professional, e.g. pathophysiological concepts (you could use a concept map), current schedules or clinical guidelines (relevant for Australia!), diagnostic and treatment options.
• Health promotion, prevention and intervention strategies (current practices, state of the art, future possibilities and developments)
• Where to go for further information and/or assistance, i.e. provide a list of helpful websites or other resources.
• Anything else you can think of that would be useful for a client.

Acceptable Use of GenAI

You may use AI for:

• Brainstorming ideas.
  • Clarifying complex nursing concepts.
  • Improving the structure, grammar, or flow of your writing (e.g. via Grammarly).
  • Summarising clinical guidelines or patient education principles (as long as you critically evaluate the response).
  • Clarification of concepts in evidence

• A copy of each note, including references, needs to be uploaded to LMS with the poster and the GenAI Logbook.
• Referencing
• In-text and end-text referencing is required for this poster (APA format). The In-text references are to be included on the poster but if you cannot fit the end text references on the poster this can be on a separate page. You must demonstrate evidence of use of at least five recent (5 -7 years old) sources. These can be journal articles or books. You can include clinical guidelines and good quality websites as supporting sources.
